St. Paul Pressure Washing
PRESSURE WASHING CEDAR ROOFS
Cedar roofs can make your home the most beautiful and eye catching home on your block. They can also become a sight for sore eyes if not maintained properly. If you own a home with a cedar roof, it is important for you to know that it will in fact need maintenance and upkeep. Cedar has natural preservatives that resist moisture, decay and insect damage. Over time and in heavily shaded areas, roofs can grow algae, moss, mold, mildew, lichen and fungi. Because these organisms retain moisture, the cedar will decay in time if it's not maintained.

PRESSURE WASHING ROOFS
Have you noticed black stains and streaks on your roof? You will want to consider having "It's Your Deck" professionally clean your roof. Black stains and streaks are evidence of algae, fungi, lichen, mildew and moss. Rain spreads the algae down the roof causing the black streaks. This problem isn't only unappealing to the eye, but it is actually destroying your roof. Once there is mold and fungi present, lichen is produced. Lichen is horrible for your roof because it's roots feed on the limestone that is mixed in with the sand granules that are in your shingles. The lichen along with it's roots can grow and spread across your roof! If left untreated, these roots will eat holes through your shingles, causing major roof issues.
There is nothing like a breath of fresh air! When you have a screened in porch or gazebo it is wonderful to be able to enjoy our nice Minnesota seasons and the fresh air it brings without having to deal with those uninvited guests and pests bothering you. Screens are very useful, but can be difficult to maintain and vulnerable to damages from such things as weather, pets, cleaning and accidents.
We offer porch and gazebo screen repair and replacement to our customers that are currently also receiving porch or gazebo cleaning and sealing services.

We offer a 2 year warranty on both labor and product against any flaking, peeling, cracking or chipping not caused by pets, furniture marks, shovels, sliding (including planters or pots) or dropping of items and burn marks caused by grills. Our 2 year warranty is transferrable to a new home owner.
***"It's Your Deck" friendly tip ~ Please remember to place a holder under all of your flowers, plants and veggies. Placing them on your decks without them traps in moisture which doesn't allow your wood to dry and can cause damage. This damage is not covered under our warranty.***

PRESSURE WASHING YOUR ST PAUL HOME
Minnesota's weather can put the exterior of your house, cabin and garages through a lot and that's why we highly recommend house washing. The presence of mold, mildew, spores and other pollutants will cause harmful effects and gradually destroy the parts of your house they grow on. You need to remove outdoor mold growing in any of these locations: pathways or walls, brick patios, any concrete exterior, decks, driveways, fences, grout, roofs and siding.
Remove that algae, mold, mildew and surface dirt by having "It's Your Deck" restore your home to it's natural beauty that it deserves. The outside appearance of your home is the first thing that people see when they visit you. This is one of the most economical ways of preventative maintenance. It feels great owning or living in a home that is maintained and fresh looking. Let us help you prolong the life of your property and allow you to be proud of your home!
CONCRETE PRESSURE WASHING
Do you have a dirty walkway? We can help our residential and commercial clients provide a great first impression of your home or business by providing a cleaning to your driveways, entryways, sidewalks and patios which are your high traffic areas. These concrete areas should receive regular cleanings to help to maintain their pristine appearance. This adds value to your home because of the improved curb appeal!
We clean unwanted spots, remove dirt, mold, mildew and salt. We also seal your concrete which protects it against Minnesota's harsh weather. Every year your concrete goes through a freeze thaw cycle, which can cause damage to your concrete if it has water seepage. When water freezes it expands in size and that's what causes the scaling of concrete. This is the number one reason concrete needs repairs. When we seal your concrete not only are we waterproofing the concrete, but we are also providing a protection for the concrete to prevent future stains from penetrating it.
Using our penetrating sealer will eliminate any peeling, cracking, chipping or flaking from occurring. Our sealer also works to enhance the natural beauty of your wood and will not just be a 'cover up.' Once sealed, your wood will be protected against water damage and harmful effects from the sun. After 48-72 hours from the application of the sealer (no traffic during this time,) it will dry to provide a durable, flat, beautiful, natural finish.
Without the proper cleaning and sealing method, you could be just covering up dirt, mold, mildew and old stain. As deck professionals, "It's Your Deck" can give your wood surfaces the protection against the elements that it truly needs.
Replacing your cedar roof can be extremely expensive. Why prematurely replace your cedar roof when we can clean it? Let "It's Your Deck" minimize your cost by cleaning and sealing your roof instead of you having to incur the huge expense of replacement. Not only do we remove all unwanted organisms like algae and moss, we will also replace any missing or damaged shakes as well. A cedar sealer is then applied to prolong the life of your roof. With proper roof maintenance, a cedar roof can last anywhere from 40-60 years.
Our cleaning products and service will preserve and beautify your cedar roof!
Our sealer is available in several different colors. All colors contain transoxide pigments which have exceptional UV radiation absorption, providing exceptional protection to your wood. Clear sealer is also available upon request; however, this only provides water and algae protection. Clear sealer does not provide protection against harmful UV rays, the number one cause of wood degradation.
Our in-stock color choices are natural cedar, gold and medium red. Other colors are not in stock on a regular basis, but can certainly be ordered.
Colors may vary depending on the type, age and condition of wood as well as direct sunlight.
St. Paul Minnesota Deck Staining / Sealing
Decks and other wood surfaces need to be properly maintained on a regular basis. Before staining/sealing, your wood needs to be cleaned, brightened and conditioned. This removes contaminants like dirt from the pores of the wood helping the stain/sealer to penetrate more evenly and deeper into the wood surface. Our initial wood cleaning process begins with a safe low pressure wash to prevent damage to your wood. This will remove the old sealer and dead wood fibers. After the cleaning, the wood will have a "like new" appearance.
The wood will need to dry out for a few days. Upon arrival on the day your sealing is scheduled, your "It's Your Deck" team will inspect your wood to ensure it has less than 12% moisture content before we will apply any sealer to it. When the moisture content is acceptable, it will be sealed/stained with a professional grade oil based transparent stain and sealer in one. Our sealer will protect and prolong the life of your exterior wood because it penetrates deep into the woods fibers, moisturizing and nourishing the wood with water-proofing oils and creating a flexible barrier that keeps moisture out (even if Minnesota's mother nature drops rain on your freshly stained wood - after about 15 minutes this barrier has begun working and the rain should not cause an issue with your fresh sealer.)
